Restorative Dentistry

Bearded white patient checking out his handsome smile in a mirror while sitting in a dental chairTo ensure overall oral health, missing or damaged teeth need to be replaced or restored by a licensed dentist. At Port Susan Dental Care, you will be provided with a personalized treatment plan that is right for you to get your smile back to its best. Read below about some of the restorative services we offer.

CEREC Same Day Crowns

We now offer CEREC® same-day crowns which, as the name implies, are made in our office and fitted on your tooth all in one visit! Same-day crowns are made possible thanks to computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM).

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a titanium post designed to replace missing teeth. The post is surgically placed into the jawbone where the tooth is missing, and provides a more permanent solution.

Dental Bridge

A dental bridge is a fixed (non-removable) appliance and is one of the traditional dental methods for replacing missing teeth.

Dental Filling

Fillings are used to restore areas of your tooth affected by decay. At Port Susan Dental Care we use composite (tooth-colored) materials to "fill in" the surface of the tooth after all decay has been removed.

Dentures

Dentures are a "replacement" option for missing teeth. There are two variations of dentures: partial dentures and full dentures.

Root Canal

A root canal, or endodontic therapy, is a procedure available to save a tooth that is infected and would otherwise require extraction. There are many reasons that teeth can become infected, including: cavities, previous large fillings, crowns, cracks, trauma, and extreme wear.

TMJ Treatment

Normal TMJ function is essential not only for chewing and speaking, but for overall comfort in your jaw. When your TMJ is misaligned, you may experience headaches, extreme pain in the jaw, and ear or sinus infections. We can identify and treat these alignment issues so that you do not experience additional concerns associated with it.
