Meet the Team
Varian Dr. Smith and I were high school sweet hearts and married in 1982. Our two sons, Sean and Ryan are now married so we have two bonus daughters in our family. Sean graduated from EWU with a mechanical engineering degree and works for Romeo Power in Vernon, CA. Sean and his wife, Kim, live in Long Beach, CA. Ryan graduated from Linfield College. Ryan and his wife, Karla, now live in the Bahamas, working for Hyatt. My hobbies include: reading, scrapbooking, and volunteer chaperoning on the Stanwood Ski bus for over 20 years. Skiing Mt. Baker and restoring our 100-year-old house in Stanwood keeps me busy when I am not managing the office.
Joann Joann has worked as a hygienist for over 20 years and has a gentle yet thorough style. She is confident and always up-to-date with current periodontal techniques and therapies. She enjoys getting to see patients and is always welcoming new ones. Dental hygiene is now focusing on inflammation and how it directly affects other areas of the body. Without being overwhelming or judgmental, Joann strives to help people understand their own individual needs. She works hard to help people feel comfortable while receiving care, especially those that my have had previous negative memories about dental visits. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.
Whitney Whitney has been a hygienist since 2010 and has a way of putting her patients at ease. Whitney loves to help her patients maximize their oral health! Your experience at the dentist should be enjoyable, thorough, and up-to-date and Whitney enjoys sharing tips and tricks to help you meet your dental goals. In her free time, Whitney and her husband, Jeff, enjoy family time with their two young children- playing in the woods or beach- and helping out at their local church.
Christina Hello! My name is Christina. I have been working in dentistry for six years now and love everything it has to offer. I am so excited to be part of this team and enjoy being chair side with Dr. Smith and serving our amazing patients. My goal is to make every dental experience comfortable and stress free. When I am not at the office, I love doing adventurous things with my four year old daughter and creating in the kitchen. I look forward to meeting you! |
